Rosa Lee Campbell

September 19, 1936 ~ May 25, 2018 (age 81)

Rosa Lee Campbell, 81, of Prairie City, Oregon passed away on May 25, 2018, at Valley View Assisted Living Facility in John Day. 

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 1:00 PM at the Prairie City Cemetery with Pastor Keith Dehart of the Prairie Baptist Church Officiating.  Following the service, a reception will be held at the Prairie Baptist Teen Center. 

Rosa Lee Campbell was born on September 19, 1936, in Post, Texas to Edith (Slatter) Bartley and Ray Campbell. She attended Prairie City High School and Montavilla School of Cosmetology.

Rosa Lee was self-employed as a hairdresser for 35 years until she retired in 2003. One of her greatest accomplishments was being a successful business owner.

She was married to Orin Wood from 1952 to 1962, and in 1978 she married Michael McLellan. Rosa Lee was an avid reader and enjoyed old movies and shopping. She was a volunteer for 10 years at Save the Family Thrift Store in Mesa, Arizona and at Hospice of the Valley in Mesa, Arizona.

Rosa Lee is survived by her brother, Jerry Don Campbell of Boise, Idaho; brother, Bill Campbell of Rockland, Maryland; son, Chip Wood of Prairie City, Oregon; son, Roger Wood of Prairie City, Oregon; daughter, Debra Rapp of Palm Springs, California; and husband, Michael McLellan of Mesa, Arizona. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Campbell; mother, Edith Bartley; step-father Chuck Bartley; brother, Bud Campbell; brother, Fuzzy Campbell; and sister, Mickey Campbell.
