Dauphine “Dee” Turner, age 63, passed away at her home on September 1, 2023, at her home in Canyon City. She was surrounded by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 15th, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene in John Day. Pastor Randy Johnson will officiate. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the John Day Elks Lodge following the memorial service.
Dee graduated high school in 1978 and worked at Wendy's while attending a Vocational College to get her Business Degree. She also worked at the Dept. of Justice and then at Tower Records Accounting Office until moving to Grant County in 1989.
Dee and her husband Matt started MD Enterprizes where Dee was the "voice" on the phone and the "D" in MD Enterprizes for thirty-three years.
She is survived by her husband Matt of thirty-four years, their son Rick (Jessica and grandson Dominic) two sisters, Jenine Medkiff and Margie (Ty) Estrada; brother-in-law, Dan Turner; sister-in-law, Angie Fonderhide; ex-husband, Steve Malone; six nieces, eight nephews, seven great-nieces, eight great-nephews, and many friends that became family.
Family and friends were the most important in her life. She will be deeply missed by all that loved and knew her.
In lieu of flowers, there is a donation account set up at Old West Federal Credit Union to help with her final expenses.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Mountain Hospice or to the American Cancer Society through Driskill Memorial Chapel at 241 S. Canyon Blvd., John Day, Oregon 97845.
