Tootie was born on May 5th, 1955, to Don and Blanche Lundbom in Portland Oregon. She spent her childhood years in Sandy, Oregon until her parents moved the family to John Day in 1967 in order to establish the NAPA auto parts store.  She graduated from Grant Union High School in 1973 and went on to attend Ecola Hall Bible School in Cannon Beach, Oregon.  Following her studies, she volunteered for a short-term mission in Japan. Upon returning to the states, she decided to follow a friend to Canada in hopes of working in the kitchen on an oil rig. Between the bitter cold winter and her “foreigner” status, her “adventure” brought her back home rather quickly.  Not long after her return, Jim Cernazanu knocked on her parent’s door, inviting her to a Bible study.  Six months later in the spring of 1977, they married. Jim went to work in the woods as a logger and Tootie was a homemaker.  That same year they also became foster parents. Tootie always knew from a very young age that she was going to have a lot of kids; that was her true calling in life. In 1989 they bought Eastern Oregon Building Maintenance and for the last 34 years have been proudly serving the community as well as the greater Eastern Oregon region.  Her daughters, Nicole and Jamie and her son Travis will continue on the family business. They are honored to do so and are grateful for your support.

Tootie is preceded in death by her husband Jim and her parents.  She is survived by her daughters Nicole and Jamie, her adopted children, Davia, Tiffany, Tia, Dave, Travis, Brad, Justin, Casey, and Jake and 19 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the John Day or Prairie City Senior Centers or to the In Touch Ministries Romanian Orphanage through Driskill Memorial Chapel at 241 S. Canyon Blvd., John Day, Oregon 97845.
