Obituary
Thorval Dee Pattee, age 68 of John Day passed away July 3, 2023. A celebration of his life and potluck will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Spray Riverfront Park in Spray, Oregon starting at 12:00 PM. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish.
Thor was born on September 17, 1954, to Thorval and Berniece (Wolf) Pattee in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Astoria High School in 1973. During his school years he participated in basketball and the high jump during track and field.
Thor enjoyed camping and hunting. Most of all he LOVED to fish. He was always the first to cast a line and to have a “fish on” before anyone else. He loved to have his girls by his side to teach them how to hunt and fish along with spending time with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thorval and Berniece Pattee; sister, Susie Armstrong; and nephew, Michael Sherwood.
Survivors include his daughters, Savannah Stout, Shannon Jones, and Whitney Pattee; sisters, Pamela Chamberlain and Merri Stephens; five grandchildren, Samuel, Evan, Hunter, Marilyn, and Ava; four nieces, Jennifer, Lisa, Nicole, and Fallon.
